Easter Egg Tutorial

This is an Easter craft that can be done by adults and kids (with help from an adult), then enjoyed for many years. It is also great on easter baskets or to give to someone special.

Materials needed
Any spare fabric you have
Thread
Needle
Egg template (google)
Ribbon

Trace egg template on wrong side of material. You will need two cut pieces for one egg.

Cut out material into egg shape.

If you want to embroider a name on your egg do this on one half of your egg before pinning your two egg halves together. A name can either be put on by machine or hand.

Place right sides together.

Place a piece of ribbon between both pieces.

Pin your egg halves together and sew by machine or hand. Leave approx. a 1 inch opening to turn your egg inside right. I used a ¼ in seam allowance.  Back stitch both at the beginning and end so that when you turn your egg inside right it will not come apart.

I did one for all the kids & grandkids.
Once your egg is right side out carefully stuff your egg with pillow stuffing to get your desired fullness.
Sew the opening closed using a hidden stitch or a whip stitch.

Done!! Happy Easter
